General Event Information

There are lots of inclusive activities in this year’s guide, and the activities listed on this website are specifically for children and young people with disabilities.

Look out for this phrase on event details throughout Summer in the City: Suitable for someone with a disability.

Providers will strive to cater for your child’s needs. If your child has a disability, a learning difficulty, or additional needs, it is always a good idea to contact the provider in advance to make sure that they can meet your child’s needs effectively. You may wish to see if it is possible to arrange a pre-visit to the site of the activity.

A small number of specialist projects require referrals from a social worker – please contact the Children with Disabilities Team in your borough regarding this (contact details below). The cost may be able to be met through your social worker or via direct payments.
